Hraion was an ancient temple build in the honour of goddess Hera, the wife of Zeus. Its construction dates back to the 8th and 6th centuries B.C. and it was discovered by excavations in 1930. In the archaeological site there are several important buildings such as the sanctuary of Hera, the altar, the arcade, the arched tank, etc. which you can admire during your visit.
